Airport "Constantine the Great" Nis
International airport "Konstantin Veliki" is located near Nis and it is second in size airport in Serbia. Distance from the airport to Nis city center is only 4km. Airport was severely damaged during NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. and was not functioning for some time. In 2003. airport gets rennovated and reactivated. In its civilian international airport history it was used a couple of times as an alternative to Belgrade airport "Nikola Tesla" in cases when weather didn't allow for safe landing on this airport.
